build non-bsafe version of Openssl

smitha jasti
Hi ,

I am trying to build a non-bsafe version of Openssl. Could anyone just tell me the exact steps I need to follow to do so?  From what I understand, Bsafe is now part of Openssl. Which option would help me build Openssl which does not use the Bsafe libraries? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Smitha

You are mistaken.  OpenSSL does not use BSafe.

Hi Richard,

Thanks a lot for that clarification. Actually i was a bit confused about this since in some places I read that there is a patch that can be installed to enable BSAFE. In some other place I read that BSAFE is now available as part of Openssl currently. coz of this, I thought I had to explicitly give some option so that a non-bsafe version of Openssl is built.

Thanks again :-)
