Help

Pcraghavendra.Prasad

Hi Team,

Need help on the openssl library.

We want to upgrade the openssl to the latest version available 1.1.1b.

We are using SLES 10 SP2 build box where we need to upgrade, but when we try to upgrade it is throwing not supported error.

>>>>openssl-1.1.1b # ./config --prefix=/usr/local/openssl --openssldir=/usr/local/openssl shared

Operating system: x86_64-whatever-linux2

Perl v5.10.0 required--this is only v5.8.8, stopped at ./Configure line 12.

BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./Configure line 12.

This system (linux-x86_64) is not supported. See file INSTALL for details.

Could you please help us what is the best version that can be installed on the SLES 10 OS.

Thanks,

Raghavendra

Re: Help

Marian Beermann
SLES 10 is 13 years old and stopped receiving (security) updates three
years ago.

The best course of action here is to upgrade the operating system.
